Camp Apex ("we", "us", "our") is an independent, privately operated camp at Burning Nest. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to Burning Nest CIC. Camp Apex is operated by Sidequest Ventures Ltd, registered in England and Wales.

When you submit an application through our website, we collect the following personal information:

• Full name
• Work email address
• Company name and role
• LinkedIn profile URL
• Estimated net worth range
• Tech stock holdings
• Description of what you are building
• Name of referring member (if applicable)
• Preferred membership tier

3. how we use your data.

We use the personal data you provide solely for the purposes of:

• Reviewing and processing your Camp Apex application
• Communicating with you regarding the status of your application
• Curating cohort composition for the event
• Improving the application and selection process

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not pass your details to sponsors, partners, or other members without your explicit consent.

4. lawful basis for processing.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, we process your personal data on the basis of:

• Consent — by submitting the application form, you consent to the processing of your personal data for the purposes stated above
• Legitimate interests — we have a legitimate interest in reviewing applications to curate a high-quality event cohort

5. data retention.

We retain application data for a maximum of 12 months following the event for which you applied, or until you request its deletion, whichever comes first. Unsuccessful applications are retained for 6 months to avoid duplicate processing in subsequent application cycles.

8. third-party services.

Application form submissions are processed via FormSubmit.co. By submitting the form, your data is transmitted via their servers. FormSubmit does not store your data beyond the point of delivery. We also use Vercel for website hosting and Google Fonts for typography delivery.

9. data security.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. All form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Your continued use of the site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
