How the application works

We review every application personally and aim to respond within 5 working days. We look for cohort diversity across sector, growth stage, and geography — not just the most impressive CV.

If accepted, a 30% non-refundable deposit holds your place. The balance is due 30 days before the event. We will not hold places without deposit.

Do I still need a Burning Nest ticket?
Yes. Camp Apex membership covers accommodation, food, facilities, and programming. You need a standard Burning Nest ticket to access the event site, purchased via the official Burning Nest platform.
What does the 30% deposit cover?
The deposit is non-refundable and holds your place in the cohort. It covers our pre-event costs including accommodation pre-deployment, pre-event introduction preparation, and cohort curation. The balance is due 30 days before the event.
Can I upgrade my package after applying?
Yes, subject to availability. You can upgrade up to 45 days before the event. The difference in pricing is charged at the time of upgrade. Downgrades are not possible once the deposit is paid.
Can I bring a partner or colleague?
Guest access is available for partners or colleagues on request. Guests access dining and bar facilities but not programme sessions or the introduction service. Guest pricing on application.
What's the cancellation policy?
The 30% deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. The balance is refundable up to 30 days before the event. After that, your place may be transferred to a waitlisted applicant at our discretion, with a £200 admin fee.
Is there a waitlist if all places are gone?
Yes. If the cohort fills before you apply, we'll add you to the waitlist in application order. Cancellations are offered to the waitlist first. We also run a second Burning Nest event in 2026 — email us for details.
